Villicana Build

We had the privilege to join with The EpiCenter Church in Long Beach to help the hard working family of Gabriel and Irene Villicana, with their children, Gabriel, Jr., Adrian, and Adriana. Fuller Center and the EpiCenter community pulled together to make some long needed renovations to keep their home in livable condition.

On Saturday, February 28, the 37 volunteers gathered together with the Villicana Family to make this one-day repair and renovation. This crew was able to:

  • Installed a new pantry in the kitchen
  • Repaired and painted hallway walls and trim, installing eight new doors through the house
  • In the bathroom, replaced the toilet, repaired and painted the walls trim
  • Painted master bedroom walls and renovated the master closet

On Sunday, March 22, we then had the distinct honor to Dedicate the renovated Villicana house in front of the Epicenter Church Congregation. The most touching moment occurred when a fellow church member offered to pay the first 4 installments of the renovation building materials costs. Simply, love filled the air.

Irene, speaking on behalf of her entire family, “My family and I are so very blessed that our paths have met. Who knew there is help out there for struggling homeowners and their families that help restore their homes to better their living conditions. Working with the Fuller Center staff has been great, they are such loving, caring, and patient people.”

“During our project, we were taught how to do certain construction jobs that we never knew how to do. As a family we worked together with staff and volunteers to accomplish a common goal, the project build. It has been an amazing experience for us. We learned many new things, made new friends, and cannot wait to help the next family in need. I cannot thank the Fuller Center enough, we are truly BLESSED!! As the first family, we wish nothing more than many more builds and to continue impacting other people’s lives with their homes.”
